I'm not sure I agree. A charlatan is a special kind of dishonest person. There are a lot of philosophers who I think are terribly wrong, but very earnest and honest in their mistakes
It's not about which philosophers *you* suspect of being a charlatan, but which ones suspect themselves. On the cutting edge of reason there is no one to tell you you're not lying to yourself.
