Business model = 1. Parents want to take kids to places both are happy. 2. People want to commercialise some places. 3. Pokemon are sold to some of those places, so that parents and children visit. What happens = “Dad, there’s a Snorlax at Starbucks!” “I call it a latte.”

The vast majority of players in my area are adults. While it was designed to be a walking game in the suburbs it is not possible to play effectively on foot. To some extent it IS a simple collection game. But any massive multiplayer game is complex.

I know the meta was/is really interesting in classic Pokemon (I used to battle online.) The nature of the sport makes choosing a team similar to picking sports teams, if your lineup was secret and both teams could somehow each have the same athletes, but train them differently.

Of course, the reasons why Go generates a lot of revenue have little to do with how interesting things are at the highest levels.

Please. This is less complex than the old games.
