@drossbucket actually one mildly interesting thing from the synchrotron thesis is that, yet again, it explains thst experimental physics is almost entirely about calibrating flaky half-assed one-off machines designed and built by physicists.
My contribution to the field of physics: Y’all should hire actual engineers instead of kludging together your instruments from aluminum foil and duct tape.
