do you suppose one might perform convolution by multiplying two numbers together and then "de-carrying" the result? one can quickly imagine multiplying numbers in very large bases, but that isn't always possible, eg in analog processing you can't really do that.pic.twitter.com/9tBtk1MZPm

We need legislation on the asymptotic complexity of the algorithms companies can run. There's as a ton of evidence that some companies are using algorithms of lower complexity to get an unfair advantage over their competitors.
