I think David Deutsch makes this same kind of equivocation. True ideas do correspond with the world. But we only find out because they solve problems better than previous ideas.
Knowledge should allow us to make predictions, more accurate predictions = more true.
Or rather, the meaning of truth in inextricably tied to value and practical context, so it's not "true enough" but rather that it getting the job done has bearing on its truth (but doesn't simply determine it)
