Despite my general great admiration for
@slatestarcodex, I thought the Moloch piece was a big mistake when posted. It takes all sorts of difficult problems and wraps them up as a Gigantic Monster that can only be dealt with by a Gigantic God. This is needlessly disempowering. -

@slatestarcodex wouldn't disagree with the fact that local hacks are required, but it may seem otherwise because of the way Moloch is written. It is true that the hacks don't always work, but they being the monster to a level one can live with.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
