We, as a group, have kicked out one of our own before for making our safe space feel and be unsafe. It felt like shit, dude. It really did. We lost a writer, performer, and a friend. But we stand by it. We're determined never to let our safe spaces be compromised again.

Mami, in many cases of assault, many victims are scared into silence at first. Read through the testimonies we posted and you'll see that Austin threatens to ban some victims from a place they love, albeit jokingly, if they don't give in to his advances.

A common factor among several of these testimonies is the claim that Austin has threatened to ban his victims from the Future if they don't comply. He does this jokingly, of course, but it surely has discouraged many of these people from confronting him.

The harassment has become so commonplace, so rampant, that some patrons have reluctantly accepted it na lang as "part of TXF culture" or "an open secret".
Such violations of trust and consent should never be an accepted part of any culture.
