Ahhh this has been such a lovely story. And he wasn't a spring chicken when you were 5, either; so glad he was still on this earth this week & that you got to meet him as an adult. What a joy for him.

A welcome and heartwarming reminder to us all; that in the face of amoral populists spouting "invasion" rhetoric it is worth pausing for a moment to consider what it really means. Shred my entitlement card and put myself in your shoes. Would I expect less? Would I be as gracious?
