        Thank you, Dr. Elle. The more people that know the real reason behind this huge push to get NPs, PAs and CRNAs independent practice authority the better. It’s two-fold: 1) Insurance companies and hospitals wanting less expensive providers and 2) each professional society’s growth

        Actually, there a third reason. The diploma mills, online programs, etc. that provide “training “ for these “advanced” degrees.

        Sadly, this diatribe of insecurity is comparing apples to oranges. The NP isn’t training to do be a derm or a surgeon. Also, the DNP is 3 years. She listed about 5 course that weren’t clinically related, what about the rest of the curriculum? Lastly, outcomes should guide policy
