    Thanks to the entire team for a successful mission yesterday sampling an oceanic frontal system and a GPM overpass. Looking towards an active period Wed-Fri.

    Both aircraft were also positioned for a GPM satellite overpass comparison, which will provide useful data to evaluate satellite retrievals of cloud properties.

    Yes we managed excellent coordination for at least 2 of our 'bowties' between the two aircraft yesterday. Our whole observation strategy for is to make coordinated flights.

    Okay, now i am really getting excited for the data from , look at that coordination. Side note, this NASA Airborne tracker is awesome. You can overlay GOES or NEXRAD. Impressive!

    We're back from IMPACTS' 2nd science flight ❄️! It was a great flight for both the P-3 and ER-2 ✈️✈️. We'll have the full report on Monday. Now the crew and team are tucking the P-3 in for the night.
