Me and my brother had a beautiful conversation about meditation on the car ride home. He was asking me HOW I meditate and what I do with my mind as I’m in session. Everyone asks me how to mediate but never what I personally do in my sessions and it made me think.

Cuz he asked me if I purposely THINK about certain things to gain insight or what have you. What I told him was that when I sit down, I just LET THE THOUGHTS COME. Whether they be positive or negative. I let them arise, wash over me and off of me. Always detached.

And I told him that as he gets better with his practice he can become hyper aware of the thoughts coming and going, realizing they are not his own but their own separate thing and he’s simply observing them as they pass by like cars on a road.

Eventually you’ll get to a point in your practice that you can catch these positive more insightful thoughts and When you do this they will go from positive thoughts, to positive emotions. And positive emotions manifest in reality in several ways.

Whether it be a better mood. A great business idea. Or simply a spitual insight about the Universe. Ultimately raising your vibration attracting more and more similarly vibrating things into your conscious experience. This clicked for him in a way it hadn’t before.

Too often people try to “force” positivity into their meditation practice by focusing solely on positive things or trying to have positive thoughts. My friends, it’s even easier than that! Just be! Let’s whatever happens happen! That’s how you get the most out of meditation
