Same reasoning of who owns what in the media world. The newspaper (let's say) owns the work of the writer so they also own the writer's twitter messaging which can be used as a followup to ideas in articles and outreach. Blocking no longer permitted then.

I agree Michael. You're paying for his employment and everyone that contributes to his ability to make a living is entitled to view the product of his labor and also be able to critique it. It's probable he views your criticism with your stature as a threat that wld influence

Honestly, this sounds like entitled whining. You pay for the paper, you get the paper. You want to write a letter to the editor, go ahead. It the idea that you are entitled to unfettered access to a reporters twitter feed is absurd. do something more interesting w/ your life.
