We have to accept the idea that our president is, to this day, receiving stovepiped information from (and repeating the talking points of) Russian intelligence. Who gives him this information? How does he get it? These are urgent national security questions.

How many
@GOP members have gone to Russia this past year? Plus no one knows exactly when and what is said in Trump/Putin meetings. -
Yeah I also think the fact he met with Putin twice since taking office without any other US person present could explain some of this - BUT it’s hard to believe that he’s remembered all the details from the Helsinki meeting in July until now.
-
Plus the redemption of the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan is a really new project by Putin, just started a couple of months ago. So seems to suggest more recent sources of information.
-
100% agree it’s recent (the sudden release of information yesterday from Russia proves that) - framed within of all of the other weird goings-on between Russia and the
@GOP you have to ask, why is this “cozying up” ok with the Republican Party? Why are there SO many contacts? -
You guys have asked and said everything I was going to ask and say. And I’m afraid of some of the answers.
-
Me too
. It’s hard to believe in the abstract that our president is compromised by a hostile foreign power, but the evidence is truly compelling. I think the main reason it’s not more commonly accepted is that the implications are so extreme it’s easier to avoid the answers.

Makes me wonder how much Russian disinformation Team Trump encounters on a daily basis. He could have been told this by Putin himself, of course, but it seems just as likely that staffers saw it circulating in the far-right internet & brought it to his attention.
-
Rachel said her staff researched all day and nothing like this is floating around on any far right sites.
-
Wow, interesting to know ... also I feel terrible for that research team!
-
No kidding.

The BIG question is what is the motive??
-
KGB motive, ultimately, white supremacy. Rewriting history is a given, especially in the USA white version!pic.twitter.com/m1AXwbhBig
