Putin did this. The people of Mariupol did nothing to threaten Putin or Russia. Does the world really want people in power who commit such barbaric acts?

On Putin, Biden expressed what billions around the world and millions inside Russia also believe. He did not say that the US should remove him from power. There is a difference.

De facto Putin already controlled major chunks of the Donbas before this war. So if the new goal of Putins war is “control of Donbas”, that is a major defeat. His war achieved nothing new (I remain skeptical, btw, of these alleged revised war objectives)

Peskov is right. The Russian people should decide who rules Russia in a free and fair election with Putins main electoral challenger on the ballot and not in jail.

If Putin was satisfied with his war, he would WANT independent media to be reporting on it. He would want to embed actual journalists with his soldiers. That he does everything to shut down that coverage tells you all you need to know about Putin's assessment of the war.
