I do wish you'd stop this bleating. Why not ask why 90% of UK track athletes are people of colour? Is that unfair? Should we have more white track athletes, to get a balance, even though they are slower? Justify that Mr Mayor!

It should just be about the best person for the role, regardless of their race, gender, religion etc. This is the ethos which should be pushed forward and not to aim for quotas.

87% of the population is white. Surely the number of white people in jibs should be representative of the population? People should get jobs based on their suitability for the role, not to appease statistics.

He said white men. If 87% of the population is white then about 44% will be white men and so about 50% over represented in this case.

They all have the same opportunities at school but some do not take advantage of their time at school. Many children do not like science. Also another explanation might be because Britain is a predominantly white country.
