    Working together is the best way to move our country, our state and our city forward. Here in we have big needs for modern bridges, pedestrian safety improvements and investments in transit and electric charging stations to meet the challenge of climate change.

    The Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal signals to the world that our democracy can function, deliver, and do big things. As we did with the transcontinental railroad and the interstate highway, we will once again transform America and propel us into the future.

    My colleagues & I wrote to asking to reinstate the Clean Air Act waiver for CA's Advanced Clean Cars program. The waiver has pushed us to lower transportation pollution & spurred innovation & development of cleaner vehicle technologies.

    I support Gov. in requiring vaccination or regular testing of employees. I believe we should do the same in for the sake of our employees and customers.

    NEW: CA will have the strongest state vaccine verification system in the US and will require state employees & healthcare workers to provide proof of vaccination—or get tested regularly. We’re experiencing a pandemic of the unvaccinated. Everyone that can get vaccinated—should.

    Building more connections for people to travel on foot, bicycles and transit will make Sacramento a better place to live and help us meet the challenge of climate change.

    Plans are in the works for a new bridge on Broadway connecting Sacramento and West Sacramento, and the two cities are asking for the community’s input as the environmental phase of the project nears completion.
