It’s sick how you’re asking your citizens turn off their AC in 115-120 degree temps. Why can’t you fix the energy crisis in California? We have some of the highest tax revenues in the country and you still can’t fix these systemic issues.

It’s because most Californians have this silly idea that if you simply throw money at government to solve a problem it will go away. I run my AC and appliances all day and I just paid my 59$ power bill.
