This is an important reminder of what Memorial Day is all about. A local coffee shop set up a table for the “Missing Man”- the service member who gave his or her life so we may enjoy America’s freedoms. Take a moment to remember the fallen and their families this weekend.

Worth noting that Senator John McCain actually risked his life by flying back to DC days after brain surgery rather than miss a critical vote. .

This is the largest proposed cut to income tax revenues to cities & towns in over 50 years, at a time of tremendous economic uncertainty & at a time when the economy’s been artificially infused with trillions of dollars in federal stimulus,”

Totally grossed out to hear the just suggest-- on live TV-- that cities can "have a bake sale" to make up for the millions they'll lose as a result of 's proposed flat income tax. Flat tax = cuts to libraries, parks, public safety, & road repairs.

Thanks to for his opposition to the current proposal, which would result in multi-million $ cuts to the rural communities in his district. Cutting local revenues is not the answer. Cities don't get safer or face fewer fire risks just b/c there's a budget surplus.
