As Hurricane Nicole moves away, city crews are out assessing damage & coordinating repairs. Halifax River is overflowing the banks along our entire city due to the tide & storm surge. Pls do not drive through any flooded areas, as it may cause wakes that can enter people’s homes.

Today our City Flag was flown at Half-Staff in honor of the service & sacrifice of DBPD Officer Jason Raynor. I am saddened at the senseless murder of this public servant. Our city grieves with Ofc Raynor’s family, friends, city of Daytona & the entire law enforcement community🙏🏼

On Memorial Day we are reminded that freedom is not free, and we honor the men and women who stepped up for all of us and paid the ultimate cost to preserve our freedoms. God bless our fallen soldiers, our veterans and our active duty! 🇺🇸

Local 16yo driver racing to bring more awareness to prevent suicide. Wise beyond his years! Thanks to our great Congressman for bringing more attention to this worthwhile cause. If anyone out there feels hopeless-reach out to someone-your life matters!

As Americans, we have the right to freedom of speech and the right to peacefully protest. However, rioting, violence, and lawlessness is absolutely unacceptable and reprehensible. Praying for our police officers and for law and order to be restored here in America! 🙏🏼🇺🇸

“Whoop dee doo” is right! 👏🏻 I completely agree with you ! This is great leadership. All elected “leaders” (that are under 65 and those who are not frontline heroes) should follow suit and should never jump in line. We serve the people, not the other way around.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is asked if he has taken the vaccine: “I’m willing to take it but I’m not the priority... Granted I’m an elected official but whoop dee doo. At the end of the day, let’s focus on where the risk is.”

Prayers for a speedy recovery for our Senator as he recently tested positive for COVID-19 🙏🏼 He’s a good man that has personally reached out on several occasions to help our city with many different items, from hurricane relief to supporting our Police Department.
My 2nd term as Mayor began by having my lifelong biggest supporter (my mom) swear me into office! I cannot express how proud & privileged I feel to have the opportunity to serve the city I love. I will work every day to validate the trust you have placed in me🇺🇸🙏🏼 #HollyHillProud

I’m no hurricane expert, but it seems to me that Tropical Storm Eta doesn’t want to give us her actual E.T.A. 🤷🏼‍♂️ In all seriousness, make sure you are ready in case she turns for us again. We will be watching this closely and will update if needed.

(2/2) I am proud of how our officers conducted themselves in such a dangerous and high pressure situation. This highlights the dangers that our law enforcement face every day, and I am grateful to them for putting their lives on the line to help protect and serve our community.
