I'm not talking about overall crime, I'm talking about sex crimes, which are far from rare - it's that they're mostly unreported. This is not a conversation about 'my country is better than yours' but my being appalled by what Japanese women "have" to endure in the 21st century

Indeed UK’s crimes are far more than Japan. Moped gangs, class A drugs are not issues. Why I have to get scared every time I hear moped sounds in London? Not the case in Tokyo. More important things for UK citizens to discuss and deal with.

As I said I'm not interested in comparing other countries with Japan. That isn't the conversation. But, for the record, I've never been attacked by anyone on a moped in the UK - but I was mugged at knifepoint by two men in Bangkok. Bad things happen to decent people everywhere
