Japan is a pretty massive market, I'd say about 40% the size of the US, so seeing Sharp here is crazy to me

Japan smartphones -8% in 2022 (-16% in 4Q22). Apple kept its dominant position, followed by Sharp and Fujitsu. More (in Japanese) here: idc.com/getdoc.jsp?con

Well my first name is Max because it is Last name is Weinbach because, as I was told, when Jewish people left Nazi Germany and went to the US they'd take the last name of the town they were from in Germany. Alas, Weinbach.

Spotify's voice synthesis for ai dj is actually pretty good. I wonder what they're using for it, I doubt it's in house.

LITERALLY WHO CARES BOTH ARE FINE I've heard a lot of complaints about Samsung and Apple, and most are valid But complaining about THE WEBSITE. Literally both are fine, smooth, and easy. Apples is more aesthetic, sure, that's it.

I don’t. I expect a public preview of Bard and other generative AIs at Google I/O What I do like about Microsoft is their rush and efficient push into implementing this AI. Sure it’s not perfect but it shows they’re trying. Google has had like 2 demos and private stuff.… Show more

Low key think Microsoft is training it to do this so they can sell features like writing emails, articles, essays, etc as part of Microsoft 365 and a subscription tier with AI access. Bing/Office is free for all, but the powerful features behind a paywall.

No Pixel Buds Pro update yet. Hopefully soon. It showed up when connected to my Pixel 7 Pro but then went away when I tried to install it.

Nomad is launching a new blue color for the Apple Watch Band. It's called Electric Blue. IT'S HOT. So much more vibrant than the old blue, fun like High Volta from last month. Huge fan of this one.

I don't use AI because I can't do something, I use AI because I don't want to do something. Massive fundamental difference. One requires learning, the other is called being lazy. The question is, which one of those is worse? I think lazy (note I am lazy)

1 year of Samsung Care+ for $48 after tax might be the best promo for someone who upgrades yearly. Unlimited $29 repairs!

Bing AI/Edge is getting much better. Still not finding Edge on macOS to be as smooth as Chrome on macOS, but it's close. Noticing more memory leaks with Edge, and sometimes pages just don't load for seemingly no reason.

I’m not going to argue with someone if I know I’m wrong, I’m going to admit to being wrong and move on (or ignore it and quietly change my mind without mentioning it) But arguing with people on Twitter is fun to me. Immature? Sure, but I still enjoy it.

I want to make something clear, if I ever argue with someone on Twitter it’s not because someone “hit a nerve” It’s because I’m bored and that person is dumb.

Ming-Chi Kuo said the power button will be Taptic on the iPhone 15 Pro. How would that work when the device is turned off? Not my area of expertise.
