Max, I did about 60 podcast episodes in April/May - I interviewed people all over the world; doctors, scientists, regular people... my sense is that most people explaining the science sounded indistinguishable from politics; they alienated people.
The more frustrated or angry an individual became the less reasonable they sounded. Further it seemed like their perspective fell in line with their political expectations. There were very few scientists that had a bent towards liberty
We are still seeing this mentality here in British Columbia. As we have been lucky and #COVID19BC numbers have been low our health minister #bonniehenry has decided against mandating masks.
How long our luck will hold I am not sure, but it is only a matter of time before it runs out...
