Trump says that Russia was in Afghanistan because terrorists from there were going into Russia. He’s confusing it with Chechnya. Also says that Pakistan is there and should be fighting. It is—it’s promoting the Taliban which has been fighting against the US and its allies.

Trump has no use for professionals and experts. The only opinion he cares about is his and Ivanka's. He is a walking Dunning-Kruger sociopath. No knowledge. No desire to have any knowledge. No thought of considering anyone else's knowledge. Yet thinks he's an expert on everything

I taught HS history for 19 years. In 19 years of asinine answers from 15 year olds I have never heard anything this asinine and trust me, I thought I had heard it all...and now I have.

The fact that trump confused the Chechen conflict in 1999 with the invasion of Afghanistan twenty years earlier is less surprising when you recall he attacked diplomats from the Baltic countries for the Yugoslav war (confusing the Baltics with Balkans). He’d never pass my classes
