We always knew this would become an annual vaccination similar to flu vaccines. If there is a third/booster shot it would probably be to address all of the variants that have arisen. I don’t find this alarming. Charging a high price next year would be alarming. Pandemic = free.
Or: we go medieval 
and ride it w/o vaccines!
By the way, I think the medieval approach would be more than welcome by Planet Earth!
