For those who do not understand why he got inti a fight the guy whereas the guy was kissing his own gf: it is not allowed in the culture to show signs of intimate affection in public.
His action was very well received by the people and the guy even apologised&shook hands w/ him

The guy got what he deserved: first he's blocking the passage on escalator while lingering over his GF, then when criticized is blocking the escalator again at the bottom, then starts a fight.
