Trump says Dems manufactured the 3,000 death toll from the hurricane in Puerto Rico last year “to make me look bad.” For those who ask if he really believes this, the answer is yes.

Wherein the president dismisses the official government of Puerto Rico death count from the 2017 hurricanes and their aftermath as a political plot against him. Apparently of the belief that the death toll is about him and not about approximately 3,000 dead American citizens.

  3. This is unhinged and dangerous. Trump lies about objective reality often. But this lie -- about the death toll resulting from a hurricane and inadequate response efforts -- shows so clearly how he is unwilling to accept facts that make him uncomfortable.

Senator Corker on the wild NYT Op-Ed: "This is what all of us have understood to be the situation from day one... I understand this is the case and that’s why I think all of us encourage the good people around the President to stay. I thank General Mattis whenever I see him..."

For a president who campaigned on a platform of “drain the swamp” and “lock her up,” Tuesday provided a moment of reckoning that could put his administration in league with Nixon's for the level of scandal that surrounds it. w

A sitting member of Congress is indicted and it's like the fourth biggest story of the day. Oh also he was the second lawmaker to endorse Trump. The first, Rep. Chris Collins, has also been indicted. This is real life.

In a scene you couldn't script, Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort is found guilty on eight counts and Trump lawyer Michael Cohen pleads guilty to eight counts within minutes of each other. Trump is on Air Force One flying to a rally in West Virginia.

Why would you give a “crazed, crying lowlife” and a “dog” a senior job in the federal government and one of the highest salaries in the White House?

"How could you trust a word she says?" one White House official asked me today. "Why did she make $180,000 a year, have among the highest titles in the government and attend senior staff meetings and visit the Oval?" I replied.

  16. InfoWars conspiracy theories targeting Sandy Hook families are not just reprehensible -- they're dangerous. The family of one six-year-old killed in the massacre has been forced to move 7 times. Cruz knows this isn't "political speech." Anyway, read this:
