Unpopular opinion: This is because of the tax incentives. I think incentivizing USA manufacturing, batteries, and innovation is a good thing.
But, EV's were selling like hotcakes without incentives.
The wrong incentives were put in place, turning this into a price war.

I think this is a bad take. Tesla obviously is pricing for sales volume, to capture the tax incentive, and to put pressure on the competition.
By no means are they done. This is an anti-Elon opinion. Not a good business observation.

Is Tesla done? Prices drops of close to $20k on some models. I bought shares in 2015 based on Tesla's early mover advantage on range & charging network, have leased a Tesla since 2018. As of Nov '22, I've sold 90% of my shares, and I'm definitely not leasing another Tesla. Sad.

Tesla just reduced the price of the Y by 13k. That + IRS tax incentives brings the price down 20k from last year.
This is a BIG win for the consumer. However, I would be mad if I bought a Tesla in November 2022.
