NEW: A group of 8 Republicans, including Congressman Mike Kelly & PA-17 candidate Sean Parnell are suing the GOP majority PA General Assembly, Gov. Tom Wolf, and Sec. of State Kathy Boockvar, claiming Act 77, which allowed for mail-in voting, is unconstitutional. THREAD /1

Act 77 passed with majority Republican support in a GOP-controlled legislature in 2019. It allowed for mail-in voting and eliminated straight party ticket ballots. It passed the House 138-61, with only one GOP "No" vote. It passed the Senate 30-20 with all GOP voting "Yes". /2

In the lawsuit, filed this morning in Commonwealth Court, plaintiffs say Act 77 is "unconstitutional," and "implemented illegally." They argue it's an illegal attempt to override limitations on absentee voting, and needed to go through a constitutional amendment first /3

Plaintiffs in lawsuit say the certification of the election, which Joe Biden is currently leading by 80,000 in race for President, and which Rep. Kelly won and Mr. Parnell lost, should be prohibited.

I watched Sam Ficken’s lowest moment of his career in person at Virginia 5+ years ago. Could’ve destroyed anybody. The fact he’s kicking in the NFL Playoffs today is so cool.

We need to do a better job as a news medium. Between the reporter being hit by a car, now this. It’s nothing more than shock value news porn, aired knowing full well what’s about to happen, cut away in shock and horror, then plastered it on social media even though someone died.

Reminder: The Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball Club won 98 games three years ago. This ability to hit rock bottom this quickly is a sign of just how poorly they are run. Embarrassing.

He carried the company for a decade, came back when he didn’t need to, still a massive star, and used his time to put over one of the rising studs in the company. What more does Teddy Long want from him?

If you don't know much about how badass John Thompson was, his Hoyas beat No. 2 Syracuse in the final game at Manley Field House in 1980. JT, with massive 🏀🏀 gets on the PA mic and says "Manley Field House is officially closed. May it rest in peace.”

This is factually wrong on multiple accounts. - 538 are number of electoral votes (Fla. was decided by 537 votes) - SCOTUS never flipped Florida 2000 election result. They ordered election office to stop counting. Bush was leading the whole time.

Penn State, which has always treated the mens basketball program like second class, now has to decide if they want to play ball. Because Micah Shrewsbury is gonna get paid somewhere, and he should be getting checks from Old Main.

Oh no. No no no. This is Saturday, Shabbat, the busiest day of the week at a synagogue. Tree of Life is one of the most congregated in Pittsburgh. Please no.

Happy for Nebraska. Never rooted for the Huskers until after I went there covering PSU in '12. Nicest, most genuine fanbase. Great people.

You always see a ranking of Best Ballparks in America but you never see a ranking of Best Stadium Staff in MLB. You’d be hard-pressed to find a nicer, more courteous group of people than the gameday staff at Camden Yards. Unreal experience, two years in a row. Thank you!

1. Saquon Barkley is the most talented player in college football. 2. Baker Mayfield has had a better overall season. 3. Baker Mayfield is apparently a jerk. 4. Baker Mayfield will still win the Heisman.

The 2018 Pittsburgh Pirates are turning into the real life plot from the movie Major League. But forgive me if I don’t want to see a cardboard cutout of a naked Bob Nutting.

According to the AP, Pennsylvania will institute a mask-mandate for K-12 schools. Governor Wolf had said he did not want to. However, the powers to do so are held by the Secretary of Health under the Disease Prevention and Control Law. There is a 2pm press conference today.

When someone uses the phrase “Jewish money,” be it a rap lyric or otherwise, I don’t view it as anti-Semitism. Some will and that’s their right. I don’t think LeBron James hates Jews. I hope the rapper 21 Savage (where the lyric came from) doesn't hate Jews.

Just don’t understand the Steelers (non) use of Harrison this year. Especially when TJ Watt has been so poor against the run and Bud Dupree has been so...just poor.

Senator, reporters have asked for weeks for proof of evidence and none has been provided. Virtually every attempt to show voter fraud in court has been denied or dismissed. Where is the mounting evidence you speak of?

Truly feel ESPN is losing their most important voice in Jemele Hill. That doesn’t mean you have to agree with her. But she’s a powerful voice who used her platform to speak for so many who felt theirs was marginalized. That will be missed.

Just like you wouldn't say someone has "Muslim violence" or "Mexican work ethic" - because those are racist stereotypes - Jewish people are only defined by their money by ignorants. And it’s not a LeBron issue but society wide. And it’s been that way for millennia.

For all the great LeBron performances in those 4 years with the Cavs against the Warriors, I'm not sure I've ever seen a "You're going to have to literally kill me if you want to beat me" performance as Jimmy Butler these Finals.

As you watch #Paterno on HBO tonight, one name you won’t hear is Gary Sinderson. He’s my former colleague at , and was as involved as any reporter in the #Sandusky investigation. Doesn’t get recognition he deserves and has never asked for it.

By using the term, LeBron - and anyone else who uses it - is showing extreme and incredible ignorance to Jews. The idea that Jews are money-grabbing wealthy penny-pinchers is one of the oldest stereotypes in modern history.
