More than that, the players have to lead real lives after they graduate. Heard a talk from a UW employee (maybe the same one you talked to) explaining why they allow athletes to tweet openly. Basically said "this is the world, they're here to learn how to navigate it."

All college players have to eventually lead "real lives" no matter what school the play for. Kind of an ignorant statement.
