1/ Not with a contract clause restricting the use of the license. Remember, we do not sell software. We sell licenses. One could create a software license restricting usage down the 3rd-party/contractor line.

Not selling to govts means they're thinking about it, which is great -- but a lot of gov business, including (I believe) classified intel collection and processing, is actually done by subcontractors, sometimes deliberately set up as cover. Avoiding sales to those is hard.

Right - but at the least, something like ICE won't be able to use it at the border, since they're a known government agency, and can't exactly be subtle about using it.

Glad to see someone at his rank saying so. Hopefully people will realize that using flawed and biased AI to conduct law enforcement is a a bad idea. The problem is that even if everyone understood that - the powers-that-be will use it despite the flaws. :p
