    There are very good arguments against the death penalty in our current system, but, from a Christian perspective, to say it is unjust *period* is to say God is unjust, who demanded it in Israel in certain cases. You cannot out-justice God. He created justice.

    In all seriousness, this is one of the many reasons why the lockdowns are unfair to restaurants. Most sit down places can’t be converted into fast food places. They’re being asked to completely change their business model on the fly, and it’s not possible in most cases.

    The sad thing about all restaurants becoming takeout joints now is that most dishes taste horrible after sitting in styrofoam containers for 30 minutes. Only Asian food translates as takeout. They have discovered the key. No one else.

    He wasn’t “treated to Burger King.” They bought him a 1 dollar hamburger because they were legally obligated to feed him. Same goes for any other suspect. Then he was convicted and sentenced to death. What’s the problem here?

    Ummm that's not the only issue. It's the compassion and treatment of ONE of the two that we find highly offensive and ridiculous. One was actually treated to Burger King. Let's not play dumb here.

    The next person to be executed by the federal government is Alfred Bourgeois. He molested his two year old daughter, then beat her to death by bashing her head against the windshield of his truck. Are we supposed to mourn his execution too? Are we supposed to "say his name"?
