A guy in Colorado was cuffed and arrested in front of his 6 year old daughter for playing t-ball with her in an empty park. People keep assuring me that we’re not living in a police state. Well tell me what a police state looks like if not like this.

the point is the park was empty because it is shut down. If they let people be there then the park wouldn't be empty

Apparently the fine print on the sign said to groups of more than 4 people. His group was 3.

The park was closed. This one isn't hard, really.

It sounds like he was arrested because he refused to identify himself. While, obviously, cops should not be arresting people for refusing to identify themselves, it is not clear at all that this was because they viewed him as a Covid-19 "threat."

99% of these seemingly harmless initial interactions w police that go “South” is because the individual being confronted by the police cops (pun intended) an attitude! Just say, “Yes sir, no sir.” And take your wife and daughter home.

A lot do but this probably wasn't one of them. Read the article. I am an ardent supporter of law enforcement. They cuffed the guy but released him. Seems they realized, the officers, that their actions weren't defensible. Officers best when they treat how they want to b treated
