What is your most unreasonably exaggerated parenting fear? Mine is choking. I can barely be around my 18 month old when he eats because I have such crippling anxiety about him choking on food.

Oddly I don't have a big fear about drowning. That's my wife's thing. Although I was knocked on my butt by a massive wave while holding my three year old daughter at the beach a couple years ago. That scarred me a little. She remembers it, too, and reminds me of it often.

We vacation at the beach with our large Catholic family friends (40+ kids, 8 adults).... That tends to make you more afraid of the ocean and drowning.

Drowning is my biggest fear. If it’s not yours, try breathing out, and not breathing in for, oh, 5 seconds. You’ll realize how awful drowning would be.
