Seems like generation after generation think their kids are just supposed to clean up the mess/save the world. Used to be we wanted our kids to have better lives than we had, now we’re talking like we want kids to save this disaster. It’s a weird avenue of thought.

I do agree with that...I did not necessarily mean it like that. I’ve always fought for progressive issues. Having a kid has made me want to fight harder so that he has the best life possible. We are all most likely on the same team.

And my first point was having a kid is not throwing them in front of a train. Just as life is scary, it is fucking beautiful. I want them to see that. And I think there are far more worse happening to this world then babies being born.

Like don't forget this is under a tweet about ppl in their late 20s/early 30s who feel like it's just one obstacle after another. It's hard to imagine being who we are now but also with a kid/kids when we can barely get our own lives right. Not having a kid FEELS like a positive.

Regardless of whether it's true it's just a feeling because I can't conjure a parents love for just the idea of children. It's not a judgement on you for having kids noone was saying down with the breeders just not being able to imagine being responsible for other lives as well.

Well said kind internet stranger. Idk your pronouns so trying to be polite. I want kids but not into bringing new life in what is and will be. Plan on adopting though God willing!

Thanks I think so. Plus birth just seems like a bad time and my demographic gets the worst care and like 200% chance of dying from birth. I wanna be mom and there's gently used kids who need love so no brainer too me. Shout out to those who give birth I'm not built lol
