Excellent observation about Kant. It captures well why I reject the categorical imperative. Virtues are not scale invariant. On the contrary, they properly varies by scale, as do the particular goods at which they aim.

Only the highest good (summum bonum, if one believes in such) is scale invariant, and human actions can be directed to it only by mediation.
