I think people all had them No. 1, then didn't know quite what to do with the Langford injury. So everyone just kind of kept it the same without thinking much. Without Langford, too many guys are just in uncomfortable roles they aren't ready for right now.
Michigan State was as overwhelming a preseason No. 1 choice as college basketball had seen a decade-plus. It’s about to be 5-3 and off to one of the worst starts, record-wise, for a preseason No. 1 in college hoops history.

This is an ass-kicking on the level I didn't think Duke was capable of at this point in the season, even with Carey operating fairly consistently to start his career.

Time to get rid of pre-season rankings because they’re completely irrelevant in March.

Especially in this era where too many teams rely on freshmen & unproven returning players. Preseason rankings have never been more useless.
