Treasure Island is 10 min from downtown without traffic. There haven’t even been many deliveries overall.
They are a company worth billions. This isn’t about cost.
This is retaliation. And it is blatantly discriminatory.
I’m disgusted by this. @Uber this is shameful.

The caps on commissions are to protect small businesses and ensure they can survive during a GLOBAL PANDEMIC. Uber responds by cutting off access to essential goods from low income communities of color like Treasure Island. Honestly, this is despicable and discriminatory.

While this is noteable, I’d love to get an update on rent relief in San Francisco.

What would you like to know? There’s an eviction moratorium, and the furthest we can go is never allowing rent debt to be used in an eviction. We are doing that. To actually cancel rent entirely, we need state/federal action. Local Govts don’t have that power.
