This image sums up the existential crisis facing the Conservative Party over the next few decades. I don't see a single way in which the National Conservatism conference has helped moved the British centre-right any closer to addressing this. In fact, the reverse is true.

They laughed when I said I was proud of #NHS Covid app (and the delivery team). Now growing evidence it was a valuable intervention (10k lives!). Great ROI. And huge scientific legacy. We must lean into these personal digital solutions. #healthybritain

Health misinformation undermines public health, and the Government has not learned lessons from the last two years, where misinformation had a devastating impact during the Covid-19 pandemic. 1/3

Does anyone remember the monstrous fuss about how the UK extended the gap between the first and second dose of covid vaccines from 3 weeks to 12 weeks? Turns out it may have saved 10,000 lives and 58,000 hospital admissions. imperial.ac.uk/news/243032/de

“We estimate that the app’s contact tracing function alone averted about 1 million cases (sensitivity analysis 450,000–1,400,000) during its first year, corresponding to 44,000 hospital cases (SA 20,000–60,000) and 9,600 deaths (SA 4600–13,000).”

I welcome the review in Initial Teacher Training & commitment to early identification for neurodivergent children. As someone who was only identified for my dyslexia at 18, I know just how important early identification and teacher training is. Promising work but more to do.
