    to those celebrating in the UK and around the world. Muslims make an extraordinary contribution to this country, and while this year’s celebrations are not as we would want, if we all do our bit and get vaccinated we can look forward to a much happier future.

    I’m feeling great after my first Covid jab! Thank you to all the phenomenal scientists, NHS staff and volunteers who have helped to make this happen. When I got the call, I got the jab - make sure you do too! 💉

    Delighted that from tomorrow we can open up vaccination to those aged aged 38-39. The vaccine is our way out so when you get the call, get the jab.

    It was great to speak with about the value of testing. Regular testing can reduce the risk of you carrying the virus & transmitting to others by more than half.

    VACCINE UPDATE: - 67.8% of adults have been vaccinated once for COVID-19 - 35% of adults have had two vaccines The vaccine is saving lives so when it's your turn, come forward & get the jab.

    It’s International Nurses’ Day. Here at home, there were over 11,000 more nurses, midwives & health visitors working in the NHS in England than a year earlier. AND record numbers of student nurses entering the profession.

    Today we have announced that the Government will give the NHS additional tools to across England through our Health and Care Bill. Through this bill, the NHS will be able to better tackle obesity & address the impact of the pandemic on mental health & wellbeing.
