Diagram not correct. Alpha + Beta = 90° Then top right & left angles incorrect. Top left. If Alpha & beta =90° that's the whole corner. Top right. A triangle can't have 2 angles of 90° in it.

No. Alpha + beta does not equal 90. 90 - alpha has not been given a name on this diagram.

Neat. Love the derivation. How do you explain the case: \alpha, \beta < \pi/2, but (\alpha+ \beta) > \pi/2 using geometry?
