Light pollution - huge environmental issue - easier to fix than most big drivers of ecological damage, its time has come, but where is the political will? Perhaps it is in one of the manifestos?

Buying new clothes for children isn’t going to save the world at all. Hand-me-downs are much more environmentaly friendly. How much water was used to make each item? This isn’t adults admitting their failure it is cynical big business cashing in on people’s guilt.

Worrying investigation has revealed 'landspreading' of sewage sludge containing dangerous chemicals, bacteria & microplastics is commonplace. Regulations dating from 1980s urgently need updating & needs the resources to enforce effectively

So pleased with this - I have sponsored and help set up a new award for Kingussie highschool to encourage and promote environmental conservation amongst the students. Hopefully this will entice more students to make a difference.

Sadly our planning system has been gradually dismantled, so the rational thinking that would bin & the awful motorway between Oxford & Cambridge has gone. has led to challenge both. Today an epic anti HS2 petition arrives at No10. 🌍

This is really shocking. Seven years after the EU ban on pesticides, there is still large-scale contamination, with "no clear declining trend". It suggests these poisons are extremely persistent. A global ban is urgently needed.

Like the PM today, ministers have often said they are committed to high or the highest standards, and there will be no regression. This is good to hear. But we still need to see such a commitment in law.
