    I'm approaching network engineering completely from the outside, and have been studying it to look for applications of research to networking. The material from the people over has been a great help.

    Compliment someone today, privately and sincerely. It really will make both of you feel nice. Plus, having to note something to compliment forces you to look for good things instead of bad ones, which is a way better outlook to have.

    Weird thought...what if we just put the actual nutrition facts on labels and let people do the math?

    TIL that Tic Tacs are allowed to say they contain zero sugar even though they're almost entirely pure sugar -- because a single Tic Tac is 0.49 g and technically if a serving of a food contains < 0.5 g sugar you are allowed to round down to zero

    I don’t even believe that it’s impossible. I have seen so much true creativity from people that the only thing I don’t understand is why no one will bother looking for it unless there is some sort of pedigree to it. You don’t need a pedigree or a famous name to create and be good

    PSA: If you are seeing formatting issues with KaTex on articles, it's because your network blocks the KaTex plugin. I have received complaints on it before, and it's fine outside of typical corporate networks.
