: The Cairns Group has released today a Framework for Negotiations on Domestic Support for negotiations. We propose a ‘new approach’ to cap and reduce global entitlements to trade- and production-distorting domestic support.

Good news that 28,900 new jobs were created last month, bringing the number of jobs created since we came into government to over 1.5 million. The unemployment rate is at 5.1% and the level is now lower than at the 2019, 2016 and 2013 election.

asked me what my favourite memory was, it was sitting on the bank when I was 6 and seeing Kim Hughes hit a cover drive off Jeremy Coney. I’ve spent most of my younger and adult life here, it’s such a special day for the WACA.” Justin Langer

A stable outlook is emerging from Treasury’s evidence from Estimates. In the midst of a challenging global environment, unemployment sits at 5.2%, on track for trend growth, we have a trade surplus and a budget getting back into the black. Meanwhile, Labor is hyperventilating...

Short memories indeed. Labor overreacted & wasted billions of taxpayers’ money during the GFC. Worse still, the budget was structurally put into deficit with unfunded promises & disastrous taxes (some which raised no money). The budget position has taken six years to fix!

  20. You have obviously forgotten what happened to the cash rate post Labor’s reckless spending spree (pink batts, overpriced school halls etc). Or impact on exchange rate given very low cash rates and quantitative easing elsewhere after excessive Labor stimulus forced our rates up.
