Clearly we have not heard enough of this yet, since we continue to bemoan it, rather than effectively to combat it. Fault is in ourselves.

I won't deny that the conclusions here astounded me. Fidelity of transmission of cultural assets matters vastly more than new contributions.

This is true, but contingent; for cultures can change, Nobody believes in Apollo now. He was big once. Kids are key: win them, and you win.
