Along w/ Buddhist, Christian, Jewish, Hindu texts (& others). We had to attend services of all these faiths. Tolerance thru understanding.

Teaching is incredibly hard work. We need great teachers, but making them calls for infrastructure we simply don't have.

Moreover, it's not enough to have great teachers. We must also retain them. Which means changing schools & tests. Radically.

But even when kids are safe and well, they won't learn what doesn't affect them deeply. Great pedagogy is a narrative art.
