      He’s hurt drama too. Drama needs consequences. Trump never suffers consequences. The West Wing pilot was about the consequences the White House suffered because Josh said something that offended conservatives. In a political world of no consequences, that plot doesn’t work.

      Trump's misdeeds do, in fact, lead to adverse consequences in his life (as any close observer of Melania can see.) But his narcissism prevents him from recognizing them as such. And drama is all about recognition. In the end, Oedipus must know who he is, and what he has done.
