Ridiculing Trump's solecisms may make you feel better, but it doesn't harm him, and may even help him. Every bit of attention you draw to them draws attention away from things he really doesn't want people looking at, like his business dealings before the presidency.
The significant point is that no President should struggle with kindergarten-level challenges, just as no concert pianist should have to study his fingers as he plays.

That this point even requires assertion is the real story here. Why do we agree that neurosurgeons and commercial airline pilots should be highly competent, but shrug when confronted with incontrovertible evidence that a President is not?

It's because the primary point if democracy is to make sure that whoever is in charge has support if a sizable fraction of the population. He's competent at building a base of supporters. The primary important skill of a politician in a democracy.
