Today I learn that wealth can be used to access top universities for kids who can’t make it in academically. Tune in tomorrow when we learn academically irrelevant attributes (e.g. natural athletic ability) & distracting activities can also be used to compensate in similar ways.
To them, the idea you moot is anything but radical; it is utterly routine and familiar. And its principal effect is to reduce high school (and the latter part of middle school) to an elaborate exercise in cramming. It also fuels a large and competitive test prep industry.
