You almost feel like we've normalized the fact that a Washington Post opinion writer is just going to regularly spread misinformation without apologyhttps://twitter.com/JRubinBlogger/status/1044764687278231552 …

Only this crowd of clueless old white guys wold pick someone from Sheriff Joe's operation. I was saying no self-respecting lawyer would take the job of giving cover to GOP cowards. I was right.

Oh look more misinformation. He didn't claim he never drank excessively, just that he never blacked out. As a former college freshman, I assure you it's possible to achieve the former without necessarily achieving the latterhttps://twitter.com/JRubinBlogger/status/1044969675531202566 …

Kavanaugh has to VERY seriously consider if he wants to testify in oath he didn't drink to excess. That fact *seems* easily disprovable. Lying about it would be awful for his current job let alone the S Ct.

      Replying to @peterjhasson

Mr Hasson, do you maintain that all highly qualified nominees to the Supreme Court will be found to have drunken to excess as a matter of routine during their high school and college years? Do you maintain that such excesses reveal nothing about character?

I make no assertion. I ask only why we should prefer, for so august and consequential a position, a person who has such a history to others who do not.
