Please give the fluency/practice in math its context too of beauty, story, meaning, joy.
The most fundamental point is that, in the absence of slavery or totalitarian oppression, skills persist only when their exercise is gratifying to the user. Practice confers skills, but their persistence subsequent to acquisition depends upon the practitioner's interest in them.
