Nerd. Recovering WoW addict. Considers toasters to be inherently absurd. Note that anything offensive I say is out of ignorance and not malice.

Okay. Don't really think it matters what anime directors think on these things. If the anime he makes is good, that's all that matters to me.
The thing you have to consider is, does continuing to invest in his work count as an endorsement of his beliefs? By watching his shows even after you learn that he's a raging antisemite, it sends a message to the industry that it's okay for them to employ him and others like him.
When the only thing that matters in the corporate world is the bottom line, the only way for a company to make a moral decision is if its customer base makes that decision for them with their wallets.
True. If you want to you can just not support his products based on moral belief. But I don't think it'll make things any better or worse in the anime industry.
It might not make a difference when one person does it, but it does when many people make the same choice and make good on it. Again, it's all about influencing the bottom line. If hiring an antisemite significantly affects sales, they'll think twice before doing it again.
As for the other point I was going to make, the more exposure someone with dangerous opinions gets, the more those same opinions spread. People listen to him. And the more impressionable fans will be swayed by what he says.
The conspiracymongering has consequences. The Holocaust didn't start with gas chambers, after all.
